Green Pea Pasta Sauce

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 cups frozen peas (about 8 oz)
10-12 basil leaves
½ lemon, juiced
½ cup broth
Cooked pasta for 4.
Optional toppings:  fresh parmesan, chopped fresh basil, red pepper flakes

Cook your desired pasta.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil over medium heat and saute the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes.  

Add the peas and basil and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the peas begin to soften.  

Add the lemon juice and broth and then pour the contents into a blender or food processor to puree.

Serve over the pasta with desired toppings.

Serves 4.
