Make It Your Own Meatloaf*

1 egg
2 tablespoons onion flakes
1 teaspoon dried parsley or basil
½  teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
¾ cup cheese
1/3 cup sauce (buffalo, barbecue, ketchup all work great)
1 pound ground beef, chicken or turkey

Mix all ingredients except the meat together in a large bowl.  Stir well to fully combine.

Add the meat and stir to combine.  Add to a loaf pan lined with foil or shape into a loaf on a rimmed baking sheet (make sure you use a rimmed sheet so the drippings from the meat don’t spill in your oven).  Drizzle a bit of extra sauce on top, if desired.

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Bake for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

Let sit for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Serves 3-4.

*Some flavor combinations that work well:

Italian:  Dried basil, Parmesan cheese, ketchup 
Buffalo:  Dried parsley, cheddar and blue cheese, buffalo sauce
Barbecue:  Dried parsley, Pepper Jack cheese, barbecue sauce
