Super Duper Simple Slow Cooker Classic Chili

This is about as easy and yummy as it gets.  Be sure to use lean ground beef since you won’t drain the fat.

Also:  to all my meat lovers out there, you can replace one of the cans of beans with an extra pound of beef.  And my vegetarians/vegans?  Use 3 cans of beans and no beef.

Super Duper Simple Slow Cooker Classic Chili

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 medium onions, diced
4 cloves of minced garlic
1 heaping tablespoon chili powder
1 heaping tablespoon ground cumin
1 - 28 oz cans of crushed tomatoes (fire roasted if possible)
1 - 4 oz can diced green chilis
2 - 15 oz cans of kidney or chili beans, drained and rinsed
½ teaspoon salt
Optional:  1-2 tablespoons tomato paste if you prefer a thicker chili
1-2 teaspoons hot sauce

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker (yes, even the raw ground beef!).  Break up the beef a bit with a spoon.  Cook on high for 4-5 hours, low for 8-10 hours.

You may want to break up the beef a bit more before serving, but it will literally just fall apart.

Serve with desired toppings.

Serves 4-6.
